"Just visited robin hill adventure park with my husband . We went in the evening time to see the oriental light show. It was well worth a visit . It was freezing cold which only added to the atmosphere. The trees looked amazing shadowed by the lights."
-Sue D, Romford
"The woods were adorned with oriental themed architecture and the lights were atmospheric and dramatic. The lion dance was excellent for both adults and children and the entire place had a very magical feel. There were chinese food stalls selling noodles, tea and desserts. This was a very different experience for us and we enjoyed very much"
As darkness falls, spirits rise .....
Visitors to Robin Hill’s award-winning electric woods event, Spirit of the Orient, can experience the stunning spectacle of Oriental themed light, colour, sound and entertainment set in the park’s ancient woodland, as it captures the spirit of the Chinese New Year, one of the world’s most popular celebrations.
As dusk falls, the beautiful oriental theme truly takes effect as a dazzling array of coloured lanterns, stunning sound & light displays, and features - like the stunning 'Golden Oriole' bridge with its cascading golden water and the marble temple - bring the ancient woodland to life.
The Chinese themed entertainment includes authentic performances of traditional lion dance in a show full of fun choreography, light and sound effects, and the most dazzling illuminated lions.
Children too can join the celebration by taking part in a fun and interactive dragon procession with a 12m long dragon costume, which meanders through the woodland.
And to complete the evening, visitors can enjoy the delights of an authentic oriental menu served in the woodland ponds, and toast marshmallows on the open brazier - there will be something to suit all tastes.
Full programme of activity to follow shortly.
